The X-MEN franchise has seen more ups than downs in the past 17 years and now director Simon Kinberg has the chance to visualise on of the most loved comic book storylines from the series; Chris Claremont’s “THE DARK PHEONIX SAGA”. Kinberg spoke with EW recently and had the following to say about bringing the story to the silver screen and also check out Sophie Turner and friends in the new images below:

“[The film] was so clear in my head, emotionally and visually, that it would have killed me to hand this to somebody else to direct,”

The movie promises to bring an emotional heft to the franchise which was somewhat lacking in the last attempt to cover the Jean Grey storyline, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND and with a stellar cast returning (including  Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Quicksilver (Evan Peters) we could be in for a fiery treat!

X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX hits cinemas on 2nd November, 2018.
